We have strong relationships with many hotels across Western Canada and beyond which we have developed over the last 15+ years. Please keep reading to see how we can assist with your team’s travel plans this season.</p><p><br></p><p>During our initial conversations, we will need to know a number of details about your team. We will then reach out to a number of properties in the area you have indicated with the goal to present you with 3 property options. Once you have had an opportunity to review them and advise us which property to book your team at, we will take care of the group contract with the hotel. We will send you a copy of the contract for your records, comprehensive booking instructions for your team, and if applicable, send to each family on your team for them to secure their individual reservations.</p><p><br></p><p>At the booking stage, we will require a valid credit card to secure the block (nothing is charged to the card at this time, however the hotel reservations systems require this to hold the block). It is very important that all bookings/amendments/ cancellations are to made through Canaccom Group Travel and NOT directly with the hotel. We will also confirm details on how the rooms will be paid at this time though in most cases this will not take place until check out. I contract all our flights to a lady named Rhonda, she’s essentially the 5th “member” of the Canaccom team. Rhonda sources all our flights, contracts them, manages payment, manifest etc. deadlines, and then tickets the flights. And she’s always available to me if there is ever an issue- a cancellation for example. She’s awesome. Rhonda charges $52.50 per person for domestic flights, and I think $10 more for international. But again, for all she does, it’s worth not having to deal with it yourself. </p><p><br></p><p>In order to book flights, you need to be ready to pull the trigger. Once we get a quote from Rhonda we have about 24 hours to secure the seats and the fare with a deposit, which is usually around $100 per person. We cannot hold flights. Once that is done, we usually have until about a month before you travel to pay the balance and provide a manifest (passenger information that matches each individual passport). There are a couple things of note as well- you cannot book flights on a sale, it’s impossible. We will not/cannot book flights with Flair or any of the discount airlines- they cause too many problems. And payment must be made in a singular fashion- e-transfer is best as there are no fees associated with it.</p><p><br></p><p>If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
